Reference implementation is not certification
A compatible field layout says nothing about installation safety, permission to control a machine or material suitability. Tests of a driver are versioned separately from a boundary certificate. A passing reference example must not be advertised as blanket approval of the physical machine.
Upgrading a tuple
Record the old and new driver, fields that changed and held-error tests. Do not replace a null capability with false merely to fill a table. An unknown feature stays unknown until its mapping is reviewed.
