arm.move

arm.move({x: number, y: number, z: number, heat_budget: number})

x,y / millimetres
Target coordinates from −120 through 120 in this reference workspace.
z / millimetres
Target height from 0 through 120. Negative values are held before movement.
heat_budget / demonstration units
Maximum permitted cost for this command, from 0 through 12. Not a global account top-up.

Cost and state transition

The example cost is 0.5 plus 0.03 per millimetre of Euclidean distance, rounded to two decimals. Both the command budget and the remaining balance must cover it. The balance begins 12 units. These are local demonstration units, not physical MW-day.

On success, position becomes the requested target and balance decreases by the computed cost. On any error neither changes. The returned record names the before state, target, cost and after state.

Error names

SYNTAX: command differs from the exact object-field grammar. RANGE: a coordinate or budget lies outside the reference range. COMMAND_BUDGET: declared command maximum is too small. BALANCE: remaining balance is insufficient. No failed command partially moves the arm.

Hardware abstraction

A real integration would require an approved driver and an interface record. SPUArch is a proposed abstraction-family reference, not a tested chip or automatic permission. This playground contains no hardware adapter.
